Notomondop is a Theatre Studio funded by Manipuri Theatre in 2010 which is the first theatre studio in the village area in Bangladesh. Notomondop was made of bamboo, tin, mud, and some other raw elements. People take their seats there on the floor and some of them on the chairs.
Team leader Shuvashis Sinha’s father Late Lal Mohan Singha gave the land to build the hall near to his own house. He also was the chief advisor of Manipuri Theatre.
In the year 2019, the new Notomondop hall has been built on the opposite side of the old with the financial help of the High Commission of India. Now it is a complete theatre hall with modern advantages to show the play and performances.
Lal Mohan Singha
Lal Mohan Singha (1943-2013) was the Chief Advisor of Manipuri Theatre, who gave the land for Notomondop. He was a renowned teacher, actor and prompter of Jatranatok.
